Description

Efficient Swadro TC 2000 - the key to an efficient forage harvest!
This six-rotor rake centers the swath behind the tractor and has a working width from 10 m to 19 m. It is designed with smart features that provide clean forage of maximum quality and makes the job easier for subsequent machinery. With its size and flexibility, it is ideal for the bigger fields, and it also requires minimal maintenance.

Let technology assist you in achievinng clean forage!

The Swadro is designed to ensure minimal waste and clean feed. A test conducted by DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) showed that Krones Lift Tines reduce soil and gravel contamination in the feed, regardless of working speed, and minimize losses by up to 2.1% compared to other systems. Furthermore, it is lifted in and out of operation in a way that prevents the tines from hitting the ground, thus avoiding feed contamination or damage to the ground surface.

Timing is crucial in a narrow harvest time window to save money!

The Swadro TC 2000 features six rotors and an impressive working width, allowing for faster field processing with wider coverage. Its flexible working width can be adjusted to meet specific requirements, enabling you to alter the width and work more efficiently while ensuring compatibility with the next machine in the process.
Minimized downtime with field repairs!

Minimized downtime with field repairs!

If accidents occur, quick recovery is crucial as the value of forage diminishes with downtime. On the Swadro, a rotor arm can be swiftly replaced in the field without any oil spillage, saving time and money while also eliminating concerns about contaminated forage.

Reliable machines are the best friend of forage harvest!

Krone's Swadro models requires minimal maintenance due to its low-wear maintenance-free cam track and the hermetically sealed, lifetime lubricated main gear box. The combination reduces wear and upkeep costs, ensuring the rake is always field-ready. Only a daily visual inspection and lubrication of the power transmission shaft are needed, other maintenance is performed between harvests for a more efficient season. Farmers First Maintenance offers ready-made maintenance plans that contribute to reduced downtime, extended lifespan, and better resale value.

Clean forage and high work rates!

Clean forage and high work rates!

The robust Krone Lift Tines effortlessly lift heavy and wet crops off the ground. With a double bend design, they facilitate upward movement of forage along the tine. Compared to straight tines, they allow higher driving speeds without increasing losses or contamination. DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft), conducted a test showing that Krones Lift Tines reduce raw ash contamination in forage by less than 9% regardless of driving speed. They also minimize losses by up to 2.1% compared to other systems.

Change tine arm directly in the field

As most farmers have experienced, it is easy to bend a rotor arm when being in a hurry, and then, it's important to get back up and running quickly, as the value of the forage decreases with every hour of downtime. On the Swadro, a rotor arm can be quickly replaced in the field without any oil spillage because of the dry DuraMax cam track.  It also has double ball bearings for stability, smooth control, and reduced wear. The durable tube is maintenance-free, securely connected to the control shaft for reliable and precise tine control.

Guaranteed function and reliability!

Guaranteed function and reliability!

Maintenance-free and permanently lubricated and sealed gearbox make the Swadro a highly reliable partner in the harvest, regardless of the weather. This rotor rake is always ready for work and ensures reliable operation during the narrow harvesting window.
-No time is wasted on service stops.
-No lubricant out = no contaminants in!

Protects the sward and produces clean forage!

Krones Jet Effect is inspired by an aircraft's takeoff and landing behavior in its rotor suspension design to ensure that there is always a maximum free space between the tine and the grass surface when the rotor is lowered and lifted out of operation. Without this margin, damage to the grass surface can occur, allowing weeds to grow, which in turn deteriorates the quality of the forage. However, with Swadro's design, these damages can be avoided, the tines last longer, and the result is clean forage.

Perfect swaths and maximum productivity

Perfect swaths and maximum productivity

With the Swadro TC 2000, KRONE sets the standard for productivity and swath quality. With a flexible working width between 10 m and 19 m, area coverage of up to 20 ha/h is possible. The immense working width reduces the total length of the swaths by up to 30%, thus minimizing the number of passes of the subsequent harvesting chain per hectare. Additionally, the Swadro TC 2000 increases the capacity for the following harvester by up to 15%. This ensures optimal utilization of the forage harvester or loading and transport wagon, especially during low-growth harvesting.

Boxy and optimal swaths in all conditions

The Krone DuraMax cam track has a small diameter and steep track design made of special bainitic hardening that enables the tine arms to smoothly follow the curve and lift the tines out of work quickly and with ease. This innovative system ensures the formation of boxy and optimum swaths in all conditions, regardless of the terrain or crop density.

Superior rakes in flat and undulating terrain

Superior rakes in flat and undulating terrain

The rotor is suspended in a pull-type and cardanic configuration, ensuring 3D contouring, allowing for optimal contouring both in the direction of travel and across it. With this advanced system, the tines effectively pick up every straw without collecting a single grain of sand. The result is clean forage, minimal loss rates, and the ability to operate at high work speeds.

Electric work height control

This hay rake features electric rotor height adjustment with an accompanying display in the operator's cab. Two working heights can be preselected, and if the height is changed on one rotor, the other five automatically adjust to the same height. This enables quick and precise adjustment of the hay rake's height while reducing manual labor, saving time, and fuel. In summary, the electric rotor height adjustment provides efficient hay raking and reduces costs for the farmer.

Relief front and rear with Krone Easy-Line

Relief front and rear with Krone Easy-Line

The KRONE Easy-Line drive concept entails:
  • Controlled material flow through the machine for optimal hay raking.
  • Increased productivity of the baler, mower, or field chopper.
  • No twisted swaths for optimal performance of subsequent harvesting machinery.
The KRONE Easy-Line increases the rotor speed of the front units by approximately 25% compared to the rear units, allowing the front rotors to present the material in a wider swath to the rear rotors. This enables the rear rotors to form high, airy, and "square" swaths. The Easy-Line driveline ensures that the material does not fall back onto the ground once it has been picked up. This explains why even the hay rakes with multiple rotors in the KRONE Swadro series ensure gentle handling and minimal contamination even when multiple rotors are working consecutively. At the same time, all rotors are hydraulically or mechanically relieved to be gentle on the surface.

Easy adjustment to fit different harvesting conditions

Both the working width and swath width can be adjusted hydraulically from the cab to be optimally tailored to the conditions. A wider working width, for instance, could be suitable during second or third cuts to save time in the field, while a narrower working width can be beneficial to prevent an excessive amount of forage from being fed into the subsequent machine's pick-up and causing blockages. This way, you can adapt the machine to various conditions quickly!

Smooth and secure transportation with a lower transport height!

Smooth and secure transportation with a lower transport height!

The chassis of the Swadro TC boasts impressive road stability and an outstanding turning radius approved for speeds of up to 40 km/h. Through swift adjustments, the transport height decreases to under 4 meters, the rake arms fold together instead of being dismantled, and the telescopic arms retract to reduce the machine's width.

Smooth countersteering for tight turns and sloping fields

With an additional hydraulic system controlling the countersteering on the hay rake, navigating tight turns and maintaining straight lines on sloping fields becomes easier. A hydraulic cylinder on the steering system adjusts the turning angle or position behind the tractor, ensuring smooth passage even through narrow gateways, despite its size. When the rotors are disengaged, the passive-steer axle is automatically activated to steer the chassis via a rod, thereby reducing turnaround time.

On the transport chassis, the Ackermann steering system can be utilized in two different ways: either passively through a linkage or actively via a hydraulic cylinder. Excellent turning radius, maneuverability in tight spaces, and easy steering are characteristics that describe this chassis.

Adjust the swath width for the following machine

Adjust the swath width for the following machine

It's not just possible to adjust the working widths as needed, but also the swath width can be tailored. This is done by hydraulically and continuously adjusting the rear rotors between 1.60 m and 2.80 m, which is preset on the terminal. This technology helps to form perfectly square and high-volume swaths for the subsequent harvesting machine. The width between the outermost rotors is 10 to 19 meters, making it easy to adjust the amount of fodder laid in the swaths. This ensures that the amount of fodder in each swath is just right regardless of swath width and whether it's the first or last harvest of the season.

The automatic folding feature

With the smooth automatic folding function, a hydraulic sequence control handles all steps for you, making the work easy and seamless.

Section control relieving in wedge-shaped areas

Section control relieving in wedge-shaped areas

The section control detects areas that have already been raked and automatically raises the rotors to avoid running over the same spot twice. This relieves the driver and makes it easier to manage wedge-shaped areas. To utilize section control, the tractor needs to have GPS with the section control (SC) function.

Operating terminals CCI 800 and 1200

With the operating terminals CCI 800 and CCI 1200, KRONE offers two ISOBUS-compatible touchscreen terminals with a color display of 8" or 12". In addition to the main screen, up to two other screens can be displayed alternately. For example, it is possible to switch between joystick assignment, section control, or a camera image during operation.
