The EasyCut R 450 is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic mechanism that can be fitted with up to ten 50 kg plates. This significantly improves handling characteristics in the field. The weight, which can be up to 500 kg, is automatically moved outward by 60 cm in a sequence-controlled manner. This allows the machine's ballast to be optimized, distributing the load more evenly across the tractor’s lift arms. As a result, the power requirement is only around 74 kW or 100 hp.

The EasyCut R-models are equipped with adjustable drawbar springs that enable offset positioning behind the tractor. This allows for cutting at full width on any track width, even on side slopes, and in combination with a front mower.

The hydraulic and the mechanical suspension springs are extremely responsive and provide perfect cuts even in undulating terrain and at high forward speeds. This is the first step in making clean and high-quality forage and a requirement for a fast and uniform re-growth. The kinematics between the coil spring and the main beam maintain a nearly consistent ground pressure, even in undulating terrain.
Automatic obstacle protection for safe operation
The standard hydraulic impact damage protection system of the EasyCut R 450 enables safe working along field edges and in the event of unexpected obstacles. If contact is made with an obstacle, the rapid traverse valve causes the mower unit to swivel backwards and upwards by up to 2.50 m, thereby preventing any damage.
Compact and safe road travels
The EasyCut R 450 is hydraulically pivoted horizontally backward for transport. In doing so, the counterweight is automatically retracted, reducing the transport width to less than 2.5 meters. With LED lighting, including warning panels as standard equipment, the three-point mounted mower can be safely transported on public roads. Once the work is done, the machine can be safely parked using the support legs, which remain attached to the machine. The support legs are also standard equipment.

Integrated into the suspension system, the standard collision protection system is available on all supported mowing units. The collision protection system provides peace of mind when working alongside boundaries, fences, and hedges, and suddenly encountering an obstacle. When the system triggers a collision, the mower bar swings backward and upward to clear the obstacle. Once the obstacle is passed, the mower bar automatically returns to the working position. The conventional mechanical collision protection is a highly reliable system consisting of an adjustable coil spring and a lock.

Thanks to an optional double-acting control unit, the bearing pressure can be easily and precisely adjusted from the tractor cabin. This allows the driver to quickly adapt the mower to changing conditions without having to leave the tractor.
