- Check that the baler's traction device is correct before connecting the baler to the tractor.
- Check that the PTO shaft guard is complete and functional.
- Check the tire pressure on the press.
- Check the functions of the press control box.
- Check that all functions on the press are working, don't forget the trailer brake.
- Check that the amount of netting and plastic per bale in the control box is what was planned.
- Check the press's running lights and blinkers, don't forget working lights.
- Load up the shelves in the workshop with carving knives, PU fingers and PU sweeps.
- Order home nets and plastic.
- Make sure there is a working fire extinguisher on the press.
- Once the season has started, rough clean the baler in the field after finishing the work shift.
- Never do any maintenance or repair work without turning off the tractor's engine.
- Secure the erected bale chamber hatch when working in the bale chamber.
